A little help for your journey
Let’s get you
back on the trail.
Controls, stars, and saved adventures. Here are the answers to the most common Penta Dash questions.
How do I play?
Penta runs forward automatically. Reach the landmark before time runs out.
- Move
- Drag the lower-left joystick left or right to steer around hazards and toward fish.
- Jump
- Tap Jump to clear pits and ground obstacles. You can steer or hold Dash with another finger while jumping.
- Dash and Brake
- Hold Dash to go faster on a clear path. Hold Brake when you need more time to line up your next move.
- Pause
- Tap Pause to take a break. Resume gives you a 3–2–1 countdown. Restart gives the current landmark a fresh timer and three lives.
On a keyboard, steer with ← / → or A / D, jump with Space, dash with ↑ / X / Z, brake with ↓ / S, and pause with Escape.
How do I unlock the next place?
Clear each landmark in order. Finishing every landmark in a country unlocks the next country. Continue takes you to your next unfinished, available landmark.
To replay a favorite, choose its country on the globe or open Progress and choose stages. Cleared landmarks stay available to play again.
How do I earn three stars?
- Reach the landmark.
- Catch at least five fish during that landmark’s run.
- Finish that run without falling into a pit.
Pause shows your current goals. The finish screen shows this run’s stars and your best records. A replay can improve your best stars, fish, and time; a lower result does not replace a better record.
Where is my progress saved?
Your unlocked destinations, souvenirs, stars, best records, and sound preference are saved locally on the device. Restarting a landmark or returning to the globe keeps that progress.
There is no account or cloud sync. Progress does not move automatically between devices, between browsers, or between the web game and the iOS app. Removing the app, clearing site data, or ending some private-browsing sessions may erase local progress. We cannot restore progress that has been removed from your device.
Why can’t I hear the music?
Use the speaker button in the upper-left corner to toggle music and sound effects. Check your device volume too. In a browser, first tap a game button to allow audio to begin. Music pauses when the game goes into the background.
Can I play offline?
The iOS app includes the game’s pictures and music, so you can play offline. The web version needs an internet connection for its first visit; offline availability afterward depends on the files your browser has cached.
Penta Dash has no accounts, advertisements, or in-app purchases.
